The Motogadget motoscope chronoclassic 2 combines a timeless classic exterior with ultra-modern high-tech internals. With a diameter of 80mm, it perfectly proportions the cockpit of any classic or custom build. The most groundbreaking feature of this instrument is its closed, completely black dial when turned off, creating an extraordinarily clean look. SYSTEM FEATURES & OPERATION
-
Dual-Line Interface: The two-line dot-matrix display shows the gear position on the left-hand side of the top line and the speed or RPM next to it. The menu button can be used to display different values on the bottom line.
-
High-Speed Readout: The speed indicated by the dial is limited to 200 km/h or mph. If the speed exceeds 200 km/h or mph, the speed is displayed as a numerical value on the top line of the display.
-
Push-Button Control: The instrument is operated via a push-button. One pole of the button is connected to the green cable, while the other pole is connected to vehicle ground.
-
Ignition Integration: All ignition systems that work with ignition coils are compatible. The yellow cable connects to the primary circuit of the ignition coil and must never come into contact with the high-voltage circuit.
-
Critical Restrictions: Use on vehicles with battery positive terminal connected to vehicle ground is not possible. Use on vehicles with a 6V vehicle electrical system is not possible. Use on vehicles without a battery is not possible.
CRITICAL INSTALLATION & WIRING GUIDE
-
Cable Sizing: The minimum cross-section to be used for all connection cables is 0.5 mm².
-
Fuse Requirement: The red cable must be protected with a 1A fuse.
-
Speed Sensor Notes: A 3-wire electronic speed sensor that outputs a ground signal can be used. Hall sensors (two connections) are not compatible. If the provided magnet sensor is used, the distance between the magnet and sensor must not exceed 4 mm.
