CRITICAL INSTALLATION & WIRING GUIDE
The installation of this illuminated switch assembly requires strict adherence to the manufacturer's safety and wiring instructions:
-
Electronic Module Required: This product is not suitable to switch loads directly. All electrical loads must be switched by an electronic switching module (i.e., mo.unit).
-
Battery Safety: The vehicle battery must be completely disconnected prior to any work on the vehicle's electrical system. First, disconnect the negative terminal and then the positive terminal.
-
Incompatible Systems: Using the mo.switch with the plus pole connected to the vehicle frame (often found on older English motorcycles) is not possible.
-
Switching Mechanism: All push-buttons are designed to switch to earth (ground).
-
Standard Left-Side Setup: The three buttons on the left-side cluster are typically configured for: Horn, Turn Left, and Turn Right (or High Beam).
-
Wiring Scheme (For 3-Button Version):
-
Black Wire: Vehicle ground.
-
Red Wire: Terminal 15 (switched +12V), or AUX1/AUX2 of the mo.unit.
-
White Wire: Button A, switches to ground, connect to the desired mo.unit input.
-
Yellow Wire: Button B, switches to ground, connect to the desired mo.unit input.
-
Green Wire: Button C, switches to ground, connect to the desired mo.unit input.
