CRITICAL INSTALLATION & WIRING GUIDE
The installation of this switch assembly requires strict adherence to the manufacturer's safety instructions:
-
Electronic Control Module Required: This product is not suitable to switch loads directly. All electrical components (such as lights, turn signals, electric starters, and horns) must be switched by an electronic switching module (i.e., mo.unit)
-
Battery Safety: The vehicle battery must be completely disconnected prior to any work on the vehicle's electrical system. First, disconnect the negative terminal and then the positive terminal.
-
Grounding Rules: Measure the resistance between the negative battery terminal and the handlebar surface. If the resistance is higher than 3 ohms (or if using non-metal handlebars like Carbon), a separate ground wire must be routed directly from the battery to the mo.switch housing ground points.
-
Standard Left-Side Setup: The three buttons on the left-side cluster are typically configured for functions such as: Horn, Turn Left, and Turn Right (or High Beam).
-
Incompatible Systems: Using the mo.switch with the plus pole connected to the vehicle frame (often found on older English motorcycles) is not possible.
