Motogadget motoscope tiny Speedometer (Part #5001012) | 49mm Polished Chrome Bezel
The motoscope tiny is an exceptionally compact analog speedometer in a 49mm format, making it the perfect solution for purists and minimalists. It measures speed digitally and displays it precisely via a stepper motor and pointer. This specific version (SKU 5001012) features a high-quality aluminum housing that is machined from a solid block and anodized black, complemented by a highly polished screw ring (chrome finish). The dial boasts a convincing classic-style look with no display cut-out or LCD. Instead, an innovative LED display is hidden behind the black part of the dial, which only shines through when the instrument is in operation and remains completely invisible when switched off.

OPERATIONAL FEATURES & TECHNOLOGY
-
Adaptive Illumination: The brightness of the LEDs is automatically adjusted in order to achieve optimum readability in the dark, sun, and twilight.
-
Automatic Speed Transition: If the 200 km/h mark on the analog scale is exceeded, the speed is automatically shown on the numerical LED display. The device also saves the maximum speed reached.
-
Permanent Memory: Presets or saved values (such as total kilometers or trip odometer) remain securely stored in the system even without a power supply.
-
Intelligent Calibration: An intelligent 'teach function' makes it easy to calibrate the speedometer, even on vehicles with gearbox sensors like Harley-Davidson. To utilize this function, the vehicle must be driven constantly at exactly 50 km/h (31 mph) while a 5-second countdown elapses.
CRITICAL INSTALLATION & TECHNICAL WARNINGS
-
Mounting Torque: The motoscope tiny is easy to mount using the two M3 threaded bushes on the back. The maximum torque applied to the M3 fastening screws must not exceed 2 Nm to avoid distortions of the threaded bores.
-
Mandatory Fuses: You must fuse both +12V power supply cables (the red and brown wires) with the delivered 1A fuses. Operating the device without a fuse can cause a shortcut and a cable fire if damage occurs.
-
Location Restrictions: The device is not suitable to mount on extremely hot or vibrating parts, such as inside headlight housings or on an engine rocker box.
-
Battery Safety: For safety reasons, the vehicle battery must be disconnected prior to the installation process.
